Hey, I’m Levy Lupu — stand-up comedian, podcast host, and reluctant adult.I moved to the UK from Romania when I was 17, and after years of working in everything from warehouses to five-star hotels to retail, I found comedy. Or maybe it found me. Either way, now I tell stories on stage and on Borderline Podcast Disorder, where I chat with people about all the messy, weird, and wonderful parts of life.My comedy’s low-energy, dark, and usually pretty honest — think storytelling with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. I talk about the things that shaped me: growing up in a town in the north of Romania, dealing with identity, struggle, and all the things no one really wants to say out loud (but everyone thinks).One reviewer recently said that while my jokes are dark — drawn from a life full of difficult experiences — I come across as silly, likeable, and even heartwarming as I walk people through my misfortunes. I’ll take it.I was named One to Watch by JW3 and recently made it through to the heats for British Comedian of the Year.
